FAQs

Who is eligible? 🤩

Any charity in the UK! You might be a tiny local charity, or a medium or large-sized organisation working across the whole of the UK. We'll be looking out for charities that are struggling to fix a big problem that will make a big impact on their fundraising efforts, and we'll choose a winner based on where we can add the most value. The only thing we ask is you come to the workshop prepared. Don't worry though, we'll have a good chat to help you prepare in advance.

Why are you giving away a whole day of your time?

Because we're here to do good, differently, and we want to give something back to the charity sector. There are lots of great organisations out there doing incredible work, but they simply can't afford to work with the bigger fundraising agencies to get their help. We've all worked in big charities, and big agencies, and we're now bringing our experience and skills to the sector in a more cost-effective way. And for this competition, that means FREE!

What kind of problems could you help us fix? 🤔

Your challenge will be unique, so have a think about where we can make the biggest impact. You'll have access to a Strategist, and a creative team consisting of a very experienced Copywriter and Art Director, so your problem might be a strategic or a creative one. We'll have plenty of ideas, and help you approach your big problem in a creative way.

You might need help coming up with a new creative concept for a Christmas appeal, or to pick apart your existing fundraising programme and creative to find new ways to engage your audiences and raise money. Or you might have a few ideas that have been sitting on the shelf for a while, and we can help you bring them to life and look at ways you can take them to market.

How long should the answers in my application be?

That depends on what your big problem is, but try and keep it succinct and win us over with the impact we can help you make.

What's the deadline? 🗓️

Midnight on Friday 14th June. We'll keep the application open for about 6 weeks to give charities the time to put some real thought into what they want to get out of it.

How will you decide on a winner?

We don't really know yet... it all depends on the applications we receive. We'll be looking out for organisations that are doing brilliant work, but need help to go that extra mile to fix a big problem that's holding them back.

When will you announce the winner? 🏆

We'll contact the winner by email on Friday 5th July.

When will the workshop be?

We'll work with you to find a suitable date over the summer or early autumn. We don't have a fixed date in mind, but we'll need a bit of time to chat to you and prepare for the workshop.

What happens if we don't win? 🥺

Don't worry, we'll respond to as many applications as we can with some simple thoughts and recommendations for what you might be able to do to fix your problem. We'll also be running similar competitions in future and you'll be the first to hear.
